About Us
HydGene Renewables is a pioneering deep-tech startup dedicated to transforming biomass into carbon-negative green hydrogen. Our innovative technology uses biocatalytic material to convert biomass residues into hydrogen, providing a scalable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuel-derived hydrogen.
We are advancing our proprietary technology from an in-house pilot to a field-deployed system. This first-of-a-kind plant will demonstrate scalability and real-world application, proving the potential for commercial deployment using agricultural residues. This project aims to unlock new revenue streams while delivering significant environmental benefits.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer Manager to lead the execution of this project. The successful candidate will oversee the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPC) process, ensuring both technical and financial success, while managing key stakeholders, risks, and resources efficiently.

-
Contract & Stakeholder Management: Engage and coordinate with engineering partners, EPC(M) firms, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
-
Process Engineering & Design: Lead process engineering and design efforts, including equipment selection and sizing for water and wastewater processes (e.g., pumps, membranes, filters).
-
Risk & Compliance: Oversee HAZOP assessments, safety protocols, and regulatory approvals for field deployment.
-
Budget & Cost Control: Track financials, manage procurement, and lead change management processes.
-
Field Deployment: Manage construction and commissioning of the modular hydrogen reactor system at the deployment site.
-
Team Leadership: Build and manage a cross-functional team, ensuring smooth coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

10+ years’ experience managing greenfield projects, with a strong engineering track record in scaling up new technologies (ideally from pilot plant to field deployment).
-
Engineering training (Chemical, Mechanical, Process Engineering preferred).
-
Proven budget management and scheduling skills.
-
Experience with EPC contractors, tendering processes, and site works.
-
Experience in risk assessment and HAZOP testing.
